Founder’s Story
After more than 20 years in Australia’s grants industry – and over a decade running my own grant consultancy – I’ve seen both the life-changing impact of successful grants, and the many challenges people face in securing them.
Finding the right grant that aligns with your project can be tricky. Writing the application can be overwhelming, especially when people lack grant knowledge, or don’t have a great process to follow. I’ve watched great opportunities slip away simply because people didn’t have the support, time, or confidence to apply.
I’ve been chipping away helping clients…but there was a niggling feeling to do more. One day, I realised I could either keep working within my own network… or I could try to spark something bigger. In that moment, Global Grant Day was born – a day to start momentum. A day to bring together grant seekers, funders, and changemakers from across Australia, to share insights, celebrate success stories, and imagine what’s possible when collaboration starts.
With the support of media, businesses, and a growing network of partners, we’re creating a launchpad where anyone – from a small business to a community group to a corporate organisation – can get involved, share ideas, and help fund projects that make a difference.
My hope is simple: to make grants easier and more accessible, to celebrate their impact, and to inspire more people to take that first step – because together, we can change the world, one grant at a time.
The Vision Beyond 2025
Global Grant Day 2025 is just the beginning. By 2026 and beyond, we see a growing movement where grant seekers, funders, and changemakers regularly connect, share knowledge, and collaborate on ideas that transform communities and industries.
Our goal is simple but powerful: to make funding opportunities easier to navigate, simpler to understand and apply for, and more accessible to everyone – no matter where they live. Together, we can build a thriving network of community-led and industry-led projects, supported by innovation and shared knowledge.
